Smoking, Restaurants, and Hotels
I've never smoked. Neither has Nancy. We are sensitive to (and very aware of) cigarette smoke, both in restaurants (where it diminishes the taste of food) and in hotels (where the stale-smoke smell lingers unpleasantly for days). But just because I think smoking is a filthy habit, where it is written that I can then impose this view on you?7 Far be it from me to tell you not to, or to tell a restaurant owner or hotelier that he must not allow smoking. If a restaurateur can make a good business out of providing a smoker's haven, let him; let me and my like vote with our wallets.
