To Nancy and me, a hotel is merely a means of delivering a big bed, a clean bathroom,
and a good night's sleep. Travelers with our sensibilities should check out two French
chains, Campanile (www.campanile.fr) and Ibis

www.accorhotel.com) Clean rooms, good prices -
even Michelin deigns to recognize them occasionally as one-boxers. And they have
terrific buffet-style breakfasts, diverse, healthy, and cheap.
